Tacos On The Street started in 1993 as a window in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a fishing village on the Pacific coast just north of Puerto Vallarta. Three decades later, a quick service restaurant here in San Antonio. Same family. Same recipes. Same charcoal grill.
If you've been told "street tacos" means tiny and light on the meat, our tacos will read as a correction. They're large, generously filled, and built so every bite lands with carne asada or chicken — no hunting for the protein.

Every plate starts with tortillas from a local tortillería and carne asada or chicken seared over real charcoal — not a flat-top, not a gas grill. Our breakfast burritos come loaded with our special beans and gouda. Our salsas are made in-house daily. And our tacos are sized the way tacos should be: big enough to actually taste the meat.

Our Stone Oak dining room was built for the way San Antonio actually eats. Breakfast burritos on the way to work. Family lunches on Saturday. Spurs, Cowboys, Valero Texas Open, or Champions League on the TVs. Outdoor seating when the weather's right. Come solo with a coffee and a migas plate, or bring twelve people for dinner — either way, you're covered.

Oh man. The WOOD GRILL flavor did it for me. I am also not into spicy salsas and their salsas are not spicy but flavorful. Also I love the simple menu, just Carne Asada and nothing else! But seriously, I haven’t found tacos with wood grilled flavor around. This is a massive win for me
